While playing one day, I decided to pop my Wrinklers during a Cursed Finger to check whether Cursed Finger was based off of unwithered CpS or took Wrinklers into calculation. Since the value of my clicks did not change after popping several wrinklers, I concluded that Cursed Finger did not take Wrinklers into account when determining the value of clicks.
However, more recently, I got a Cursed Finger near the end of a Frenzy. Surprisingly, the Frenzy ending did not affect the value of my clicks! This now got me curious: How does Cursed Finger actually interact with CpS?
Before this, I thought Cursed Finger was calculated one way specifically: Cursed Finger set the Golden Cookie production multiplier to zero and used the multiplier before that to calculate how many cookies a click should give. However, this did not explain the my clicks not being affected by popping Wrinklers, and I believe it does something else entirely.
What I now think it does, is, the instant Cursed Finger is activated, store the current CpS in a separate variable, using that to calculate the value of a click, and only THEN set CpS to 0. The "Stored CpS", as I'll call it in the future, is now not updated until Cursed Finger is activated again, and CpS is re-calculated once Cursed Finger ends. This explains why my cookies per click did not change after popping wrinklers, in addition to having a Frenzy end.
However, none of this can be proven yet. All that this shows is that having a Frenzy end and popping Wrinklers does not affect clicking until Cursed Finger ends. However, this can be explained by having Cursed Finger be unaffected both by Frenzy/Clot and Wrinklers. What I'd like people to do is to force the Cursed Finger effect started both during a frenzy, and without a frenzy, and compare the cookies received from a click. Same goes for Wrinklers, have the Cursed Finger start with full wrinkers and have it start with none.
Additionally, if buying Buildings or Upgrades does not affect the value of clicks, then that is another point in favor of my theory. And I wonder if Cursed Finger causes the Golden Switch to be free, and if it affects the value of clicks if my theory is proven wrong.
